This year's annual club meal will be at the Silverdale Hotel on Saturday 7th March at 1pm. The meal will consist of a hot buffet of beef stew or vegetarian and gluten-free bean stew. There will be a selection of cakes for dessert and a hot drink. The cost is £25 per person. The hotel's bars will be available for people to buy their own drinks
There will also be a presentation of the Downhill Trophy and thanks to individuals who have kept the club's wheels turning in the past year.
There is some parking available at the back of the hotel and plenty of on-street parking too. Those who wish to join a group cycle ride to Silverdale can meet me at Millennium Bridge at 10am.
Please let me know if you will be attending.
Many thanks

If you write a Ride Report please mention “Lancaster and South Lakes Cycle Touring Club” at the beginning and end with “Anyone who is interested in joining us can find information about our regular club rides on Thursdays and Sundays on our website: www.ctclancaster.org.uk.” Send a copy to Neil Westwell who will put it on the webpage and Steve Bateman who send it to the Lancaster ‘Guardian’ and Morecambe ‘Visitor’. Anyone can post their ride reports and photos on the Group Facebook page - once they’ve joined it.
RIDE LEADERS.
CTC have a more accessible version of the guidance for ride leaders who do not wish to sign up for the online training. Anyone thinking of volunteering to lead their first ride may benefit from perusing this option.
There is a link to follow cyclinguk.org/local-groups. Scroll down to ‘Toolkits for cycling groups’ and select ‘Rides Leaders Toolkit’.
If any existing leaders wish to check it out, please do! This is not compulsory.
Anyone fancying a slower, shorter ride on alternate Sunday's might like to join Simeon Orme's group at Where's the Brew Stop.
