RIDE 1, Car Assisted Start: Parking Area off A590 on approach to Sizergh Castle at 9.45am

Coffee: Sizergh Castle

Lunch: Wilf’s, Staveley

Please note slight variation in start time.

Directions. Take the A590 towards Barrow and turn right at the Sizergh Castle sign. The parking lay by is a short distance on that road before the Strickland Arms.

Ride 2, Start : Millennium Bridge at 9.15am (no car required, but bike advised!!)

Coffee: Tewitfield

Lunch: Arnside

Afternoon Tea: Brief Encounter, Carnforth Railway Station.

Start: Halton Station at 9.15am

Coffee: Bridge House, Wray.

Lunch: Goat Gap Cafe, Newby. (via Great Stone of Fourstones, Austwick)

Return, possibly, via Burton in Lonsdale, Wray, A683 Lune Valley Greenway (or Gressingham if preferred)

Start: Boot and Shoe, Scotforth at 9.15

Coffee: Bridge 64

Lunch: Fish and Chips in Cleveleys

PLEASE NOTE we will need to leave Cleveleys no later than 2pm in order to catch the last ferry to Knott End at 3.15pm

Afternoon Tea: Pudding House

Thursday Ride: Car assisted ride from Witherslack to Cartmel. OR!!!! Easier ride from Kellet Crossroads to Cafe Ambio J36 M6.

Start: Witherslack at 9.45am, car assisted.

Coffee: Grange

Lunch: Cartmel

50+ miles and 2000+ ft of ascent to include Bigland Hill

N.B. Slight changes due to weather forecast.

Directions to start: Drive past Gilpin Bridge on A590, turning right at Millside sign then immediately left onto old road where there is plenty of parking on roadside.

Please note variation in start time!

ALTERNATIVE RIDE OF 40 easy miles and 1200 ft of ascent.

Start: Kellet Crossroads at 9.15am

Coffee: Greenlands (via devious route)

Lunch: Cafe Ambio nr J36 of M6 (continuing the devious route)

Sunday Ride: No Ride volunteered

Start: Beaumont at 9.15

Nobody has volunteered to lead the ride this Sunday, possibly because Sunday riders are going on next week’s club holiday. I propose to turn up at Beaumont at 9.15 and possibly go somewhere like Beetham Garden Centre for morning coffee and then, who knows? Join me if you can! Neil.

Coffee: Casterton Golf Club ( via Gressingham, Wray, Low Bentham, Burton, Ireby, Cowan Bridge.

Lunch: Bob-In, Arnside (via KL, Biggins, Hutton roof, Burton, Yealand.)
